I’ve been working on and off on a piece about our kitchen reno and FINALLY finished it! Our kitchen took just over a year of working on and off, here and there, as we had the time and energy to do it, and we finally finished it this past fall. We did all the work ourselves except the countertop install. I cannot say enough how much I love my kitchen and how dramatic the difference is, even though we kept all the existing cabinets, just by adding a few more, changing the flooring and countertops, painting, and building my HUGE KITCHEN ISLAND, it’s like an entirely NEW KITCHEN!! And, it’s become so much more than ‘just a kitchen’ – it’s my project workspace, it’s a place for the kids to eat a meal or a snack, it’s calming and peaceful (when the boys aren’t aggravating each other:), it’s a homework and work space and so much more!
